You "think" you have bought some computer software. 
Think again (but that's another story.) [grin]
 
Before that software will do you any good, you must install it. [grin]
And before you can install it, you must accept our license agreeement. [grin]
 
[grin] We can require you to enter certain information. else we will not let you proceed.
[grin] We can request that you enter additional information else we will not let you proceed.
[grin] We can require you to have internet access: After all, we did not give you current data.  For that, you will have to download from the internet
[grin] We can automatically get lots of other information when you access the internet. (either at time of installation or time of use.)
How can you argue when you are installing:
  • Anti-virus software
  • Anti-spyware software (Yeah, sure)
  • Ad-blocking (you think) software
  • E-mail software (Welcome one and all)
  • Other Internet software

  • Financial software
  • Income tax software

  • The latest game software

  • Operating system updates
